The current study aimed to find out the relationship between unrealistic optimism and ambition and their relationship to enjoyment. It also aimed to measure the differences in the variables (unrealistic optimism, ambition and enjoyment of life) according to some demographic characteristics (gender, class). The sample of the study was (377) gifted students. To collect the data of the study, the unrealistic optimism scale was used, prepared by the researcher, the ambition scale prepared by the researcher, the enjoyment of life scale prepared by Tahia Abdel-Aal, Mustafa Mazloum (2013), and the researcher used the descriptive, correlational, comparative approach. The results of the study showed the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation between unrealistic optimism in the dimension of positive events and enjoyment of life in the study sample, while the results indicated the presence of a negative correlation in unrealistic optimism in the dimension of negative events and enjoyment of life in the study sample. Positive between ambition and enjoying life in the study sample, while the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in unrealistic optimism according to gender in favor of females, while there were no statistically significant differences in unrealistic optimism according to the variable (class). The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in ambition according to gender in favor of females, while there were no statistically significant differences in ambition according to the variable (school grade). The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the enjoyment of life among the study sample according to (gender, grade). In the light of these results, a number of recommendations were made, including: holding courses for gifted students to clarify the dangers of unrealistic optimism in their lives, aspirations and happiness as well, a necessity Holding courses to teach students the art and methods of planning and realistic thinking for the future, with the capabilities available to them.
