Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Seal of Prophets and Messengers:
This research is a radical fundamentalist study dealing with the orientalists' view of Islamic jurisprudential scholars through the Department of Islamic Knowledge. The research contains an introduction, an introductory chapter, four chapters, a conclusion, and indexes.
The first chapter deals with the definition of the fundamentals of jurisprudence, its origin, the beginning of its codification, the reason for its existence, the works in it and the method of its arrangement, and criticism.
Chapter II discusses the Orientalists' view of the four evidences. In which there is a preface, and four statements. The preface is about the Orientalists' view of the sections of evidence in the fundamentals of jurisprudence, and the consideration and criticism of this vision. The discussion is, respectively, the Orientalists' vision of the Holy Qur'an, the Sunnah of the Prophet, the consensus and measurement.
Chapter III is about the Orientalists' view of other evidences. The chapter has five sections; and they are respectively: the orientalists' view of the appreciation, the self-discipline, the recitation, the customs, and the authoritative statements of the Sahaba and their deeds with the criticism of that.
Chapter VI includes the orientalists' view of jurisprudence and tradition, and it has two sections; and they are, the orientalists' view of jurisprudence, and the orientalists' view of tradition with the criticism related.
The Conclusion has, as expected, the main findings of the research and recommendations.
The aim of the research is to study the fundamentalist study of the subject in hand in order to identify the correct information about the mistakes and to explain the shortcomings in it, and also to try to reach the most important features of the Orientalist approaches in their study of the Islamic jurisprudence.
The methodology used in this research is inductive and critical and follows the principles of the Islamic jurisprudence in the Collection of Islamic Knowledge, it also summarizes the information pertaining to the fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence at the time of the people of the Sunnah. And then to arrange the chapters and the sections in the way mentioned in the Collection of Islamic Knowledge. Then it would clarify the main ideas contained in the texts, and criticize the matters related about the whole issue by the views of the fundamentalists and compare it with the fundamentalists’ studies when needed then identify the aspects of strengths and errors in the Collection of Islamic Knowledge and discuss them.
The most important results of this research is that The Collection of Islamic Knowledge focused on the evidence of legitimacy amongst the doctrines of jurisprudence, followed by Ijtihad and tradition to a lesser degree. The Quran was the most focused upon evidence that challenged and distorted by Collection of Islamic Knowledge done by the Orientalists, followed by the Sunnah, consensus, the measurements, and then were the other evidences. It is well known that the Sharie’ evidence is the subject of the fundamentals of jurisprudence, and its origin is the Holy Quran. Which shows that there is no doubt that the focus on the Sharie’ evidence and providing information about it is the most flawed and leads to the destruction of this science.
The most important recommendation of the research is to convey an intellectual message to all sincere scholars in the Islamic Ummah in order to cooperate in writing an Islamic knowledge collection to reduce the danger posed by The Orientalists’ Collection of Islamic Knowledge (the subject of the study) Because of what it contained of intrigues and mistakes |
