Abstract : This study aims to compare between women with breast cancer and normal women in quality of life and psychological adaptation. The study used the descriptive method to investigate the relationship between these two variables in women with breast cancer, and the differences between younger patients and older patients in the two basic relevant variables (quality of life and psychological adaptation). Two questionnaires of quality of life and psychological adaptation were administered on a sample that consisted of 45 women with breast cancer and 45 normal women. The results indicated that there was significant difference between women with breast cancer and normal women in quality of life and psychological adaptation, and there was significant relationship between the two relevant variables of interest in this study. No significant difference was found between younger patients and older patients in quality of life and psychological adaptation. Finally, results were discussed in terms of the theoretical framework and the reviewed literature.
