Abstract
:
We introduce and describe the performance of the optical tube of Celestron C-14, Atlux-Vixen mount and SBIG St-8E CCD camera being used at Kottamia Observatory. We have installed all software and instrumentations. The Installation and operation procedures for the whole system are described. Concluding remarks and recommended provision to maximize the system benefits are discussed. It is found that telescope pointing error is negligible in both R.A and DEC. The 14 inch Celestron is now fully operational and all these characteristics verify that successful observations can be carried out.
